Top ‘o the mornin’ to yas!  Our next general meeting, via ZOOM, will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a business meeting, followed by a wonderful guest speaker, Carol Allen. Carol’s topic is all about Orchids.  Following our ZOOM presentation, join us back at Little Falls Presybyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Rd., beginning at 12:15 until 1:00 p.m. to see our Small Standard Flower Show, a Saint Patrick’s Day-inspired exhibition.  The show is entitled, “May The Road Rise Up To Meet You”  and will include lots of spring blooming horticulture and design.  For more details, check out our Newsletter.

Due to the pandemic, our flower show is open ONLY by invitation.  Guests are required to be masked and fully vaccinated.  If you are interested in being invited, please email us at [email protected]

February’s General Meeting will be held via Zoom. We will not have our planned speaker, Kathy Ward, this month. Her highly anticipated presentation on wearable bontanical arts will be rescheduled soon.  We are having a small standard flower show in March, however. So our meeting will be discussing this endeavor. If you would like to join us on Zoom for this meeting as our guest, just email us at [email protected]

Hello! Rock Spring Garden Club had a very productive year, despite the pandemic related demands all NGC garden club members have confronted over these past several months. Despite our country’s travails, our club has continued to function for it’s members and our community.  We welcomed new members, our committees continue to actively partner with Arlington County Public Schools, we are supporting our seniors through outreach, our members are out there tending community gardens and we are finally safely meeting again together and enjoying wonderful programs with speakers and topics that are current and important to our members and our community.

To continue our community outreach, we had a fantastic holiday pumpkin sale, exceeding our expectations in terms of sales.  A big thank you to ALL our club members and our customers for working together to promote our garden club’s mission.

It’s important to remember that everything we do supports the mission/objectives of our club:  to stimulate the study of the art of gardening; to further an interest in horticulture and artistic arrangement of plant material; conserve and protect our natural resources and support good conservation practices; and serve our community by participating in garden therapy, youth gardening activities, civic beautification, horticulture and floral design education, and community outreach.

Hi, everyone! Our next General meeting is Thursday, November 18, 2021 beginning at 10 a.m. with our business meeting, followed by our program. We welcome Jane Coonce, an artist local to Arlington who will create a painting right before our eyes! See the Gardenzette for more information.  We also continue to have our month horticulture and floral design exhibits on display ad well as our very popular Ways & Means table.

Due to ongoing public health concerns, our meeting is open to club members, invited guests, and potential members.  Any guests and potential members are asked to RSVP to [email protected]  All attendees must be completely vaccinated, wear a mask and social distance.  We also offer a Zoom option for those who cannot attend physically.
