Happy New Year and welcome back, dear garden friends.  Our next meeting is Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Road, Arlington, Va 22207.  We are pleased to welcome our speaker, Paul Tukey, Chief Sustainability Officer at Glenstone Museum in Maryland. Our business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by our speaker program. In addition we have horticulture and design exhibits, and an opportunity to visit our Ways & Means and Tools of the Trade tables. Following our program is a delicious lunch prepared by our members (we ask a $5.00 donation for guests).  Our meeting and program are free and open to the public and we welcome new and potential members. It’s June! Thank you for visiting and supporting Rock Spring Garden Club!  May was a wonderful month, gardening-wise, and our Poetry In The Garden NGC Horticulture Specialty Flower Show was a big success.  This month’s meeting – and our last meeting until September –  is a field trip to Mount Vernon with a special garden tour by their horticulturist, Dean Norton, followd by lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn.  Whether you are local or an out of town visitor to the greater D.C. area, Mount Vernon is a must-see.  And do click our Resources tab above comprehensive list of gardens in the area to visit.

Thursday, May 16, 2019 is going to be a very busy day for our members because it’s our flower show day!!  That’s right!  “Poetry in the Garden” An NGC Horticulture Specialty Flower Show s finally here. In lieu of our typical general meeting that begins at 10 a.m., our members will be setting up and entering hort specimens in our flower show that morning. After judging, the show will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC at 2:00 p.m., at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Rd, Arlington.  Please join us!!  For more details, please read our MAY GARDENZETTE!  Spring, for all garden clubs, is a very busy time!

RSGC’s NGC Horticulture Speciality Flower Show – Mark your calendar!

RSGC is hosting what we hope to be a fantastic NGC Horticulture Speciality Show on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Our show, Poetry in the Garden, opens to the public at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  – it’s free and open to the public so please stop by at Little Falls Presbyterian Church Lower Level Friendship Hall 6025 Little Falls Road Arlington, VA 22207.  Parking is at the rear of the church.

We guarantee some of the best Arlington County Horticulture specimens blooming this May, including perennials, bulbs, trees, shrubs and so much more. Plus temporary gardens and photography!
